Kirill Shevchenko Continues to Solely Lead the Table

After the rest day games of round 7 of 2nd leg of European Youth Grand Prix took place in Jermuk, Armenia. The sole leader of the tournament Kirill Shevchenko in less than two hours crashed Arsenii Nesterov of Russia. This was Shevchenko’s 6th victory in 7 rounds. Aram Hakobyan who was sharing the 2-3 places with Shant Sargsyan took victory over Tor Fredrik Kaasen. Shant Sargsyan made a draw with Viachaslau Zarubitski of Belarus. In the Russian derby Kirill Shubin and Sergei Lobanov made a quick draw.  Game Kacharava Nikolozi - Mamikon Gharibyan also ended in a draw.  Paulius Pultinevicius of Lithuania outplayed Stefan Pogosyan of Russia.

After 7 rounds Ukrainian Kirill Shevchenko is leading the table with 6.5 points. Aram Hakobyan of Armenia is closely trailing the leader with 6 points. Aram’s compatriot Shant Sargsyan is on the third place with 5.5 points.
